Tanım
This object consists of a metal mortar and its pestle. Its body has a footed base and a wide opening. The pestle is cylindrical in form and its end is rounded. Signs of wear caused by long-term use can be observed on the surface.
Kültürel Bağlam
The mortar and pestle are among the basic tools of traditional kitchen culture in Anatolia. They were widely used in domestic production, especially in processing spices, grains, and some medicinal plants.
