İslahiye
İslahiye is a district of Gaziantep province and has historically been a meeting point of different communities because it lies on göç yolları. Located between the Amanos Dağları and the Amik Ovası, İslahiye possesses a geography favorable both to agricultural production and animal husbandry. During the Ottoman period, the district became an important settlement area within the framework of iskan politikaları, and was especially shaped by aşiret yerleşimleri and zorunlu göç processes. In this respect, İslahiye is a settlement where Kürtler, Türkmenler, and other local communities historically lived together, making it notable in terms of kültürel çeşitlilik and toplumsal hafıza.
